The good is very close
It is often appreciated again only when one returns after a long absence – or when one travels on unfamiliar roads.
On tuesday i left early in the evening for an appointment in bayreuth and had something to do in thurnau beforehand. So it made sense to choose a different route to the neighboring city for once. On narrow roads I meandered over limmersdorf past putzenstein towards eckersdorf, then on to bayreuth.
Small villages with old farmhouses and lush flower decorations, lovingly laid out gardens, geese and chickens running free, lush green meadows that have recovered well from the drought of the previous months…
We have plenty of idyllic spots in the region: whether it’s francophone switzerland or the frankenwald, the obermain or the fichtelgebirge – there is something to discover everywhere. That’s why I like to spend my vacations at home. I have time to explore the area by bike or fub instead of driving the car off the roads. There is a reason that many guests spend their vacations with us year after year: there is everything you could wish for!
