“Day of the sea” on the lock island
On sunday, 2. June, from 10 a.M. The forchheimer marinekameradschaft organizes the "day of the sea" in their land on the lock island of forchheim. Invited are all those who are enthusiastic about this special maritime and family flair.
A selection of ship models will be presented and information boards will inform about the greatest sea battles and ship catastrophes in world history as well as the explosive topic of the robbery of sea war graves.
For children there is an interactive maritime playground and boat tours on the river regnitz are offered.
As a special feature of this year several coarse sailing ship models come to auction. Friends of frisian cuisine can once again look forward to a typical fish and meat dish and the traditional seafood dish labskaus at lunchtime. Cakes and pies at coffee time and matjes, smoked salmon and bratheringsbrotchen in the evening rounded off the culinary offerings of the mariners from forchheim.
"De schietganger in the morning the choir set the mood for the musical program. The afternoon was organized by the shanty choir "die regnitzmoven" with partly new songs.
